7 Ways To Cook Away Candida Albicans
By Kate Sanders
Candida albicans are a diploid fungus that is the cause of certain infections in humans, most notably oral and vaginal infections. Nearly 80 percent of humans live with some trace of Candida in their mouth without any harmful effects. However, several women experience a yeast infection at least once in their lives because of Candida albicans. Here are 7 ways you can adjust your diet to reduce Candida.

1. Sugars are what feed Candida, which makes eliminating your carbohydrate intake so vital. The more you can limit or completely eliminate your intake for awhile, the better chance you will have of preventing or getting rid of an infection.

2. If you are trying to get rid of a yeast infection, you should completely eliminate all forms of food that have yeast in them. This includes foods such as bread, beer, wine and cheese. If you are prone to getting an infection and want to prevent getting an infection, limiting the amount of foods you eat that have yeast in them will help reduce the amount of Candida albicans you have.

3. Candida can reduce the body's ability to digest fats, which in turn results in a build up of fatty acids in your system. Because of this, eliminating dairy from your diet while you have a yeast infection can be extremely beneficial.

4. Mushrooms, Brie and mold-containing foods should be avoided because they aggravate Candida.

5. If you aren't aware, processed and packaged foods are filled with sugar, yeast and other ingredients that feed Candida. Avoiding these kinds

of foods will certainly be to your advantage.

6. With all of the things mentioned above, sugar is the highlighted ingredient that needs to be avoided. Sugar helps feed Candida albicans more than anything else you can put in your body. You should try and avoid anything that tastes sweet, especially during the time you have a yeast infection.

7. The only exception to sweet objects is Stevioside. White stevia powder is a natural plant extract that is around 200 to 300 times sweeter than sugar itself. For whatever reason, Candida does not feed off of stevia.

There are several ways you can adjust your diet to prevent worsening Candida albicans. It is certainly difficult to reduce or eliminate everything listed above, but using a combination of a few of the tips will certainly help fight off Candida as quickly and efficiently as possible.
